Instead of focusing on the on-hand projects, the employees can enjoy 20 percent of time on some excited new ideas which will indulge themselves to the latest and brightest innovations. The 20 percent time is a well-known part of emphasis of the search giant, enabling engineers to spend one day a week working on projects that aren't necessarily in the essential job descriptions. The great mind comes from the genuine interests of the technologies.
Some mature products from Google have proved the efficiency of the idea. Google calendar, earth, scholar, and many more are derived from this extra one day out of the normal work time. As it predicted, more fruitful products are cultivated in the Google lab, and will come into being in a short while.
The business model of Google is so unique as the smartest intellectuals gather in the pursuing the freedom of high-tech. The enthusiasts had no doubt in looking for every opportunity in securing career of the search giant, to some extent, much more than search at all.
One of the interesting thing happens in Google is the concentration on developing something more than search in previous information. Who knows what will be like in the near future.
